Privacy Policy

The TixGate website and services are owned and provided by DiNG.hu Kft ("DiNG", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how and why we use it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Hungarian data-protection law.
1. Data Controller

2. Information We Collect
• Account data — name, email, company/attraction name, password (hashed). • Booking & transaction data — tickets, vouchers, dates, amounts, references. • Payment data — processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. • Communications — messages you send our support/contact channels. • Technical & usage data — IP address, device/browser, pages viewed, and similar analytics.
3. How We Use Your Data & Legal Bases
We process personal data to: • Provide and operate the service and process bookings/payments — performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). • Communicate with you, including support — contract / legitimate interests. • Keep the service secure and prevent fraud/abuse — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). • Comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)). • Improve the service and, where applicable, send communications — legitimate interests or consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
4. Payment Processing
Card payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.). Stripe acts as an independent controller/processor for payment data under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive limited payment metadata (status, amounts, references) but not full card details.
5. Sharing & Sub-processors
We share data only as needed to run the service, with processors acting on our instructions, including: Stripe (payments), Microsoft Azure (hosting/EU region), email delivery providers, and distribution channels you enable (e.g. GetYourGuide). We do not sell your personal data. Tour operators using TixGate process their customers' booking data as separate controllers.
6. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use essential, functional, and analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage your choices. Non-essential cookies are used based on your consent.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it. Booking, invoicing and accounting records are retained for the periods required by Hungarian law (generally up to 8 years for accounting documents).
8. International Transfers
We primarily store and process data within the EU/EEA (Azure EU region). Where a processor transfers data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Your Rights
Subject to law, you may: access your data; rectify inaccurate data; erase data; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@tixgate.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian supervisory authority, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), www.naih.hu.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure — to protect personal data.
11. Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
